This article is about a Homeworld Gem. You may be looking for Big Red, a Crystal Gem jasper.
Red Jasper is a gemsona created by N.R. Wynter. A defective gem who dreams of becoming a great quartz soldier.

Personality

A huge coward with big aspirations. Red Jasper hopes that he can be a strong quartz soldier some day. He constantly utters the phrase "jaspers never give up", but often finds himself doing so when things get too tough. It takes a lot of coxing from friends, especially Ametrine, to get Red Jasper back on his feet. His dreams are also thwarted by the jasper's lack of putting work towards them. He's known to avoid responsibilities despite swearing he'll do them. The quartz also can't take criticism very well, often sulking and complaining over his flaws than trying to work on them.

Deep down, Red Jasper is quite selfish and gets jealous easily. When other Gems exceed in their goals similar to his, Red Jasper claims it's unfair. He's prone to hating gems that do better than him. Once Red Jasper gets jealous of someone, it's hard for him to get over it.
